Art Reception

The University of Mount Union’s Sally Otto Gallery will host the art exhibit, “Soft Anchors” by artist Chen Peng. The exhibit will be on display through March 6. An artist's reception will be held on March 6 from 4-6 p.m. in the Sally Otto Gallery.

Peng is a Taiwanese artist whose work spans painting and ceramics, exploring themes of belonging, companionship with animals, and humor. She paints objects in her home and blends real and imaginary scenes, celebrating the connections we share with our surroundings, nature, and the animals in our lives.

Peng has participated in artist residencies such as the Studios at MASS MoCA, the Wassaic Project, and the Vermont Studio Center, and has been featured in New American Paintings. Her work is included in several public collections, including the Cleveland Institute of Art, Case Western Reserve University - Putnam Collection, Cleveland Clinic, and Fidelity Corporate Art Collection, among others. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cleveland Institute of Art.
